The team visited Shree Chandeni Secondary School at Jaisithok to observe the school’s water supply scheme and other WASH activities. The team made the close observation of the ongoing construction of the toilets and had an interaction with schools children and the teachers. The team also visited Indrawati Secondary School at Jyamdi where Ms Flew and other team members observed the school’s water supply scheme including bio-sand filter and the child and disable friendly toilets. She met with the members of Child Club of the school.
The team also observed a temporary learning center (TLC) which was built by CIUD in support of Action Aid Nepal to resume the classes after the earthquakes destroyed some of the blocks of the school. Shree Chandeni Secondary School at Jaisithok and Indrawati Secondary School at Jyamdi are two of the thirteen schools in seven VDCs of Kavre district where CIUD is currently working to improve water sanitation and hygiene (WASH) of the schools, as a part of WaterAid Nepal’s WASH improvement program.
